Well Warm are able to install a free boiler for customers who meet certain benefit criteria. We are able to do this under the Free Boiler Replacement Scheme which allows those in receipt of certain benefits to have a range of insulation measures including a replacement boiler installed free of charge. For others, a Green Deal loan may be available to allow installation with minimal upfront cost.

The Boiler Replacement Scheme is available for all types of property and applies to private tenants, landlords and homeowners and is part of a UK government initiative to improve energy efficiency in households across the country.
Do you qualify for a Free Boiler?
If your boiler isn’t working properly, is old or poor quality, or you are simply unsure if you are entitled then give one of our friendly team a call. You will be entitled if your boiler is less than 86% efficient and you meet a benefit criteria detailed below. There are 3 main categories that may apply to you. The first group of people that will meet the criteria for a free boiler are those that receive:
Otherwise, if you don’t receive Pension or Child Tax Credit but do receive certain other benefits, you can still qualify for a free boiler replacement.
Pension Credit or Child Tax Credit with household income of less than £15,860
You also qualify if you receive either:
- Income support; or
- Income based job seekers allowance, or
- Income related employment and support allowance
and also receive one of the following:
- Disabled child premium
- Disability premium
- Pension premium
- Employment support
- Have a Child under 16
- Have a Child under 20 (in full time education but not University)
Finally, you also qualify if you receive:
- Working tax credit
and also one of the following applies:
- You are over 60 years old
- You receive disabled worker element
- You receive severe disability element
- You have a Child under 16
- You have a Child under 20 (in full time education but not University)
